Better rethink those numbers buddy: National defense 2009: 654.7 billion (national defense discretionary Intelligence Program 2009: Classified (unconstitutionally of Homeland Security 2009: 40.1 billion These figures do not include specifically allocated funds. When we include such figures, the amount spent exceeds 2 trillion dollars. Now let's look at social programs. Department of Health and Human Services 2009: 78.4 Security 2009: 10.5 of Education 2009: 46.2 of Labor: 12.7 we include mandatory yearly budgets, the amount devoted to social programs amounts to roughly 1.4 trillion. Let us not forget that a significant portion of these expidentures are supposed to be from taxes paid specifically for these programs that were squandered by the likes of Reagan and his retarded followers to give the appearance of crushing a dying country and to maintain a bloated military industrial comples (more corporate welfare). Come back to earth buddy, your head is in the clouds. The only planet where social programs amount to more than defense programs in one where corporate welfare (not just the bailout, but that is included) is considered social spending.
