This is my demo speech for speech class. I need help improving it so it sounds interesting, relates to the audience (teenagers) and a little longer because it only runs two minutes and I need it to run 3-5 min. How To Make Ants On A Log When I was little I was always hungry after school, so my mom would make me a snack. However, as I got older my mom started to work again and was too busy with work make me a snack. So, I had to make one for myself. My mother always said that I had to have a healthy snack and I did not want just a plain apple or something, so I asked her what I could have and she taught me how to make ants on a log. It is a fast, easy to make, and healty snack. Today I will teach you how to make ants on a log. Before starting, you must gather your ingredients. You will need celery stalks, raisins, and a jar of peanut butter. Once you have all the ingredients that you need you must wash the celery stalks and, using a knife cut them into piece depending on how long you want them. Usually, around two inches. Next spread the peanut butter on the inside of the celery. After that you can put the raisins on top of the peanut butter and scatter them so they look like ants on a log. Lastly, enjoy your snack. If you do not like raisins you may also use oats for termites or marshmallows or chocolate chips just for fun. Now that you know how to make ants on a log when some one is constantly pestering you to make them a snack, such as a sibling or future child, and you just do not have the time, you can teach them how to make their own healthy snack.
